In a still-tough economic environment, Bouygues Immobilier is continuing its efforts to help households buy their first home. Everything from choice of location to design methods has been optimised in order to offer high-quality, environment-friendly, affordably-priced housing.
MAKING IT EASIER TO GET A FOOT ON THE HOUSING LADDER
Bouygues Immobilier is continuing to enhance its range of entry- and mid-level housing for young and low-income households. The aim is to meet the expectations of customers who want to buy a high-quality home despite a sluggish economy. In order to do so, Bouygues Immobilier is combining the advantages of urban regeneration zones, where VAT is only 5.5% and land is reasonably priced, with optimised design-build methods.
In September 2014, nearly a quarter of all housing developments were available at the reduced VAT rate. Affordable housing is marketed throughout France, for example at Gaia in Avrillé in western France, Indigo in Vénissieux in south-eastern France, B’Attitude in Grenoble in the French Alps, Le 75 in Strasbourg in eastern France and Green Park in Bègles in south-western France.
At the same time, Bouygues Immobilier has signed a charter with a number of local authorities pledging to control prices and limit the rise in house prices. Charters have been signed with municipalities in Montreuil, Saint-Denis and Saint-Ouen, near Paris, and in Rennes in western France.
SUSTAINABLE CONSTRUCTION FOR ALL PROJECTS
Since 2010, all Bouygues Immobilier's residential projects have had BBC-Effinergie® low-energy certification. Careful consideration is given to their location, generally close to high-potential urban areas. It is factors like these that enable first-time buyers to benefit from government incentives such as the enhanced zero-interest loan scheme. Another advantage for buyers is the assurance of controlled energy costs.
Putting customers first
Because becoming a home-owner is an important milestone in a person's life, Bouygues Immobilier offers its customers individual support throughout the process of buying their first property, including a single contact person, advice and help with administrative formalities and getting a mortgage, and personalised access to a website on which they can track the progress of their project online in real time. From the moment they sign the contract, customers can thus start to take ownership of their future home. As Bouygues Immobilier aims to put customers first at all times, a specialist customer support department was created in 2010.
And in order to give first-time buyers even greater security, Bouygues Immobilier has developed services designed to meet their needs, such as partnerships with banks for secure mortgage offers and a resale guarantee in case of an adverse life event.
BIEN PLUS: FOR GREATER PEACE OF MIND
Bouygues Immobilier has introduced its Bien Plus service to support first-time home buyers because buying a home can be a stressful time. Bien Plus includes seven commitments designed to provide customers with peace of mind throughout the entire home buying process and for ten years after handover of the property.
Bouygues Immobilier’s commitments span every aspect of first-time home ownership, including covering the risk of a capital loss for up to ten years after buying the property, low-energy certification, a constant quest for customer satisfaction and protection against adverse life events.
